About Initiate

Initiate is a Southern California hardcore band formed in 2016. Their music combines aggressive riffs with melodic undertones, bridging hardcore, metalcore, and post-hardcore. Popular tracks include “Lavender,” “Alone at the Bottom,” “The Surface,” and “Too Much” (their most recent single, released January 2025). They’re known for socially conscious lyrics that uplift femme and queer voices, and for challenging norms in the underground scene.
